Self-Love Ritual

In a world where we are constantly bombarded with messages from marketing that you have to improve yourself (=implicit negative messages that sometings wrong with you and that you’re inherently not enough)...

It’s sometimes really nice, and even necessary, to counter those messages with a big injection of self-love.

So that’s my prescription for you – SELF-LOVE!

And I’m happy to share a simple recipe for a daily or regular (like weekly or so) Self-Love Ritual to support PLEASURE & WORTHINESS. YAY!

This ritual can be done in 10-30 minutes. Up to you!

Mirror Talk

(3-10 minutes)

Start with considering any and all things you celebrate about yourself, that you are proud of with yourself: achievements, experiences, external or internal qualities and attributes.

Then also think about what you love about your body, your physical beauty. Journal these things or simply speak them in your mind.

Then, standing in front of the mirror, look yourself in the eyes and speak out loud and say to yourself:

  • I love you.

  • You are worthy of love.

  • You are worthy of feeling happiness.

  • You are worthy of a healthy and joyful Sexuality. 

  • I love you.

Alter the words to suit your preference or needs. Add comments about your physical beauty.

 

Shaking

(3-10 minutes)

Standing with your feet hip width distance apart, gently bend your knees. Drop into your pelvis.

Relax.

Take three deep belly breaths, with long exhales.

Begin shaking.

Shake however you feel your body needs to shake. Small, big, full-bodied, gently, hard, wild, softly.

SHAKE.

Add sound if it comes.

Shake and sound it out.

Come to stillness.

Breath and feel into your body.

Lay down, completely relax, rest and integrate the practice.

 

Breast Massage

(3-10 minutes)

Sitting or lying down (or even in the shower!), cup your breast firmly against your body. 

Smile down into your chest, filling your chest with love.

Add oil on your hands and slowly embrace your breast in each hand.

Begin massaging your breasts, down on the outside, up on the inside. Keep breathing, long inhales, long exhales. Relax.

Notice any feelings or sensations in your breasts; hardness, pain, numbness, pleasure, shame, tingling.

Keep massaging in a way that feels good, alternating pressure and speed.

Pause. Breath.

Reverse the direction, massaging down on the inside, up on the outside. Now feel into your breasts and know that you can infuse any desired feeling to them; e.g. pleasure, juiciness, happiness, freedom. Keep breathing and massaging.

Pause. Cup your breast firmly against your body again.

Tell your beloved breasts (or your heart or yourself) what they need to hear; i.e. you are safe, you are loved, you are beautiful, you are fantastic.

Still cupping them firmly, begin to bounce them gently, shaking out old energy and lymphatic fluid. Before you gently let go, once again smile down into your chest and breasts. Relax and rest, to integrate the practice.
